Tania Esponda Aja
Mexico City / Miami
My artistic journey has taken me from the vibrant landscapes of Mexico to the dynamic energy of Miami. As a Mexican-Spanish artist, I explore language and symbolism through sculpture, installation, photography, painting, and augmented reality.
My work is focus in three main series of work: Wine , Typography , and Geometry Languages.
Decoding a Wine language is about passion. I see it as more than just a drink; it’s a symbol of history, culture, and the environment. I use Wine as a medium in my art, letting its rich colors and textures tell stories about the land, people and the changing seasons.
I have created my own unique visual Typographic language, using doodles and symbols that go beyond words. These symbols communicate ideas of resilience, hope, and the shared human experience.
Geometric language has been central to my sculpture work for years, allowing me to play like a child while exploring the fundamental properties of our physical world.
My goal is to inspire and engage people by creating new ways to communicate stories of the world. Through the rich tapestry of Wine and its historical connections, the curiosity sparked by a new language, and the intricate beauty of geometric shapes, I strive to craft art that transcends boundaries and fosters a deeper understanding of our shared humanity. Art is not just a medium for expression; it is a bridge that connects us all, inviting us to explore the world with fresh eyes and open hearts.
